Lake Forest Car Show 2021

My sister Theresa told us about a car show that was happening in downtown Lake Forest near her house. Fellow Citroen enthusiast Gary B. would also be in attendance, so we had to go! It was a good chance to put some shakedown miles on the Traction Avant now that it was finally running with all its fancy upgrades.

One of the more interesting cars at the show was this Burton roadster which uses Citroen 2CV running gear. It's quite a slick looking ride and the creme color suits it well.

This 300SL roadster was truly a gem. The metallic grey color and natural leather interior were absolutely perfect. These cars have never really been affordable, and their beauty is timeless.

A 1980 Corvette in Claret Metallic! I used to own one of these. It was my very first car. This one was slightly different with a tan interior. Mine had a matching claret interior. Later, we changed the exterior color of mine to bright white. I much prefer white, but it is incredibly nostalgic seeing this car again.

Could it be? This is Lake Forest after all. This is a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. What a machine. The V12 sounded amazing. It's not hard to see how Ferrari earned its reputation.

Fellow SM owner John was displaying his car at the show. It was great to meet him and check out his custom three headlight modification to the front of his car.

We lined up all the Citroen cars and owners in attendance for a quick group shot. From the left, it's my Dad Stan, me, John, Mark and Gary. Great weather and a great opportunity to hang out with fellow car enthusiasts. Until next year!
