Even though Ace Hardware is a worldwide brand, it earned its reputation as "the Helpful Place" based on the connections its retailers create with the local communities they serve. Every day, at over 3000+ locations nationwide, local Ace heroes come to the aid of their neighbors, from cutting a new house key to helping with disaster relief.
Ace created the Heartware Stories documentary series back in 2019, with the goal of showcasing the good deeds of its retailers that might otherwise go unnoticed. With Ace Hardware's 100th Anniversary happening in 2024, a goal was set and reached to create 100 of these Heartware stories.
​I assisted with scripting and synopsis writing for this Emmy-winning series. I also helped produce the episode "Rescue at Closing Time" at the Ace Hardware in Crete, Illinois. I am proud to say this was the most action-packed episode of the series so far!
